Why learn stand-up comedy?

Stand-up comedy is the art of entertaining an audience through creative and clever storytelling.

You can use stand-up comedy skills on stage, as well as in everyday scenarios at work and in social settings.

Improving your presence, timing and comedic ability will help you to be more confident when you’re speaking about yourself and meeting new people.

The funnier and more confident you are, the greater your charisma and ability to draw others to you.

By joining our classes and workshops, you’ll gain a fantastic set of skills!

Nervous about our classes? Here’s how to prepare

Everyone gets nervous when trying something new for the first time.

Our free drop in classes on Monday are passive. You will do a small writing exercise in each class, but there is no expectation for you to share this with the class or perform in front of the class.

The facilitator will largely provide information and invite you to participate if you wish. The vibe is like a relaxed TED Talk with a large amount of interaction.

In our course, you will be writing, sharing information and speaking behind a mic. This class involves a significant amount of preparation and is extremely interactive. The goal is for you to immediately begin practicing stand up comedy techniques and skills.

If you’re unsure about coming alone, bring a friend - our classes are way better if you have a mate (or date!) with you.
